a funny thing happened to me on the way to the forum...well, ok it was actually not the forum, but the islip chamber of commerce, and it was at there, not going to, but...
turns out lady elizabeth and I both joined the islip CoC at the same time. amusing.
btw I think the Islip CoC will be pretty helpful to me.

7:20 pm - Back with fun for the week.

Back from FQ. Anything cool happen over the weekend? anything going on I should know about?
So...I have my brother's house to myself this whole week...big screen TVs, big back yard, awesome jacuzzi in the back, AND this totally awesome massage chair! They just recently got it and I have to say its nearly as good as getting a massage from a real person!
anyway, who wants to come over and hang out? I will be home tonight starting about 8pm and about the same tomorrow. Wed and thurs night I am busy, but I will be free all friday, and saturday up until late afternoon.

I finally found a press release service/expert listing that media sources would use. It would cost me just under $1000 to get the basic listing. I really am not sure if it is worth it, as in will this get me the exposure I need. I probably should do it but the $ thing scares me. This is their site.

OMFG Ironman was GREAT! Just what we expected: good acting, good story, kick-ass effects and stuff. Man I want to see it again. Possibly the best superhero movie I have ever seen.
And in a cool surprise, I have the Galaxy Rangers DVD!!! I guess they sent them out early to people who pre-ordered! I want to do a marathon at some point.
and wow, i am tired. After the party I just wasn't tired. I started to get tired about 8:30am, but I had to be up at 10:30am to pick up my parents. Grace was awesome enough to drive for me since I could barely stay awake. I should just go to bed now but I will

I have been listening to some good classic stuff on youtube lately, and people make all sorts of comments on all sorts of stuff.
My take is that in the 60's and 70' some bands and performers did some VERY interesting things with rock music, which was 1st created in the 50's.(FYI: 'rock n' roll' was originally a 'black' euphemism for fucking. Much cooler than 'knockin boots' I think.). Since the mid-70's there has been some very good rock music, but not much experimental stuff that was ground-breaking. MAYBE some grunge-scene stuff, but I might be a bit too Seattle-affected. I think if we want some music as good as what we saw in the late 60'd-mid 70's, there needs to be a break-though genera and bands willing to mess with it over at least a 10 yr period.

I just heard the godsmack cover of "good times bad times" (one of my FAV songs) for the 1st time, and wow it was GREAT!
btw a live version of 'sunshine of your love' by cream is pretty rockin too.
EDIT: Nazareth sounds ALOT like CCR

Bah! my stupid-assed DVR didnt tape smallville, even thought it was supposedly set to. to get ti to record any new epi I needed to delete the recording schedule for it and totally recreate it.

12:59 am - A fun night.
|
between 7pm and 11pm we got 9 ambulance calls, and we were able to cover them all. 7pm we just got to a place to have dinner and the calls started comign it. we never got back to HQ, or anywhere to eat until after 11pm. Pretty impressive for only 1 official full crew (obviously others were able to come down and cover some calls). we had:
severe respiratory distress (which turned out to be hyperventilation from anxiety). I was on this one
MVA, car vs kid on a bike. The kid had a broken arm. The dad didnt want to go with his son to the ER cause he didnt want to leave his car.
fainting/low blood pressure, from being ill at the supermarket. somehow the fire alarm also got set off. I was on this one
Life-threatening allergic reaction, which turned out to be light-headedness/dizziness after taking meds. i was on this one
Infant w/ seizures. he had a 105.6 fever. the huge amount of wrappings the mom had him in probably didnt help.
Cardiac arrest. Poor guy was really not going to make it anyway. i was on this one. The cops really knew CPR well. I have to make sure our probies learn it as well.
overdose. not sure what happened on this one, but i know it wasnt a big deal.
hmm, the other 2 I cant remember off the top of my head, but they werent serious and kinda stupid from what i was told, and I wasn't on them.
my crew was me, a well-experienced paramedic, and 3 brand-new probies. they were like the bopsie triplets, but i was impressed with there go-get-it-ness. The other calls were covered by our paid ALS person, and officers and other random people who came out for an individual call.
Having a beer, then soonish to bed and tomorrow get things set for the party and probably get some stuff done for my practice.

how do I go about converting a .rtf file to a PDF (or I would even be ok creating the file again from scratch if I had to). And better yet, how would I make it so that PDF has fields that people can fill in?
This information will help me greatly.

May 7th to May 17th I will also have a house in west commack to myself. I wont be able to have a full-blown party, but I do want to have people come over to hang out. jacuzzi, bar, pool table, and other fun things.
